Role & responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to patients, visitors, doctors, and hospital staff.
- Take food orders and deliver meals accurately and on time.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of tables, trays, utensils, and service areas.
- Follow hospital food-safety and sanitation procedures.
- Handle patient meal requirements carefully, including special diets as instructed.
- Collect used plates and trays and dispose of waste properly.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and nursing staff for meal distribution.
- Provide polite and respectful service to patients and visitors.
- Check that food trays contain the correct items before delivery.
- Report any food, hygiene, or service issues to the supervisor.
