HealthRecon Connect is hiring Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms and pipelines supporting analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and US Healthcare RCM operations. The role will also provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Data Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and evolve enterprise data architecture, data models, and scalable data platforms.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Build batch and real-time data pipelines integrating EHRs, Practice Management Systems, APIs, flat files, and third-party applications.
- Work with tools such as Apache NiFi, Airflow, dbt, Spark, and Kafka.
- Build data solutions supporting BI, analytics, ML, LLM/SLM, RAG, vector databases, and AI workloads.
- Ensure data quality, security, governance, lineage, and compliance with HIPAA/PHI requirements.
- Work with relational, NoSQL, cloud, and modern data lakehouse platforms.
- Lead code/architecture reviews and mentor Data Engineers.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data Science, BI, Security, and Compliance teams.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or Data Architecture.




- 3+ years of US Healthcare data experience, preferably RCM, Claims, EHR, or Healthcare Analytics.
- Robust SQL, Python, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and database expertise.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle or similar databases.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern data lakehouse architectures.
- Strong understanding of batch/streaming data processing and data governance.
- Knowledge of AI/ML data engineering, LLMs, SLMs, embeddings, vector databases, and RAG.
- Proven experience in technical leadership and mentoring engineering teams.

Good to Have

- Apache NiFi, Airflow, dbt, Spark, Kafka
- Power BI or other BI tools
- HL7/FHIR healthcare standards
- Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code
- MLOps and Generative AI experience

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field. Master's degree is preferred. Equivalent practical experience with strong technical leadership will also be considered.

Shift time - 3.00 PM to 12.00 AM IST
