The SQL Lead is responsible for overseeing the design development and optimization of SQLbased database systems This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities including mentoring team members and engaging with clients to deliver robust data solutions

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of SQL developers and database administrators ensuring high performance and continuous skill development
- Technical Guidance Provide architectural and coding guidance on SQL scripts stored procedures triggers and performance tuning1
- Client Engagement Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable database solutions2
- Project Delivery Oversee the endtoend delivery of database projects ensuring timelines quality and compliance
- Performance Optimization Monitor and tune database performance using tools like SQL Profiler splock and spwho21
- Documentation Maintain highquality documentation for database architecture coding standards and operational procedures3




- Compliance Security Ensure adherence to data security privacy and governance standards

Required Skills Qualifications

Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field

5 years of experience in SQL development and database management

Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing client relationships

Solid understanding of relational database concepts and SQL programming

Experience with performance tuning query optimization and automation scripting eg Unix Shell ControlM45

Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins Docker and Git is a plus

Excellent communication problemsolving and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Certifications

Microsoft SQL Server eg MCSA MCSE

Oracle Database certifications

Azure SQL or AWS RDS certifications
