AI/ML Senior Lead / Team Lead FinTech

Job Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on AI/ML Team Lead to lead the development and deployment of scalable, production-grade AI/ML solutions for payment and financial-services use cases such as fraud detection, risk scoring, anomaly detection, AML, chargeback prediction and customer/merchant risk analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, mentor and manage the AI/ML engineering team.
- Design and deploy end-to-end ML solutions for FinTech/Payments use cases.
- Develop and optimize ML models using XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost, Random Forest, Logistic Regression and anomaly detection techniques.
- Build real-time/batch data pipelines and implement MLOps practices.
- Ensure model monitoring, drift detection, retraining, governance and security.
- Develop ML APIs/services primarily using Python.
- Work with Product, Risk, Fraud, Data and Engineering teams to deliver business-focused ML solutions.




- Drive RAG/LLM/AI-agent initiatives where relevant.

Must-Have Skills:

- 6+ years in AI/ML, Data Science, MLOps or related areas.
- 13 years of Team Lead/Technical Lead/People Management experience.
- 3+ years FinTech/Payments/Banking/Risk/Fraud experience preferred.
- Strong Python programming skills mandatory.
- Strong ML fundamentals and experience with Scikit-learn / PyTorch / TensorFlow.
- Hands-on experience in MLOps, CI/CD, Docker and Git.
- Robust SQL knowledge with MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Experience with fraud/risk models and imbalanced datasets.
- Strong system-design and production deployment experience.

Good to Have:
RAG, LLM, MCP, AI Agents, Go/Golang, Cloud, Streaming/Event-driven architecture.

Education:
Bachelors/Master’s in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
