Prarthna Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and analytical NPI / NPD Specialist to join our engineering facility in Khalapur, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between customer concepts and mass production, managing the entire lifecycle of Current Product Introduction (NPI) for high-precision sheet metal components.

Role & responsibilities

- End-to-End NPI Lifecycle: Own and manage New Product Introduction activities from initial customer requirement mapping through prototype development, pilot production, and final customer approval.
- Technical Documentation: Author and maintain critical engineering documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), process parameters, engineering drawings, Control Plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs / Work Instructions).
- Process & Tool Development: Design and validate sheet metal manufacturing processes. Oversee tool, die, and fixture development optimized for CNC turret punch presses, CNC lasers, CNC press brakes, and welding operations.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the central technical liaison. Coordinate seamlessly with Customers, Suppliers,



and internal departments (Purchase, Production, Quality) up to executive leadership (CEO and GM).
- Supplier Selection & Sourcing: Evaluate and select suppliers for specialized materials, hardware, and external tooling requirements to ensure project alignment.
- Pilot Lot & Engineering Changes: Monitor initial pilot production batches closely on the shop floor. Implement immediate tooling or process modifications and ensure seamless execution of product design revisions.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: Graduate (B.E. / B.Tech) or Diploma Holder in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience within the Technical / NPI / NPD Department of a sheet metal product manufacturing company.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in interpreting complex fabrication blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Deep practical knowledge of sheet metal machinery constraints (CNC punching, laser cutting, bending, and assembly/welding).
- Robust understanding of APQP documentation framework (FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flows).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional project planning, risk assessment, and timeline management capabilities. Strong communicative command to manage high-stakes customer and executive relationships.
