About us
The Open Society is a members' social club in Bengaluru. Not an app, not a networking platform, not a building. One fixed group of 150 people and four rituals every weekend, built for people who want a real circle of friends instead of leaving it to luck. Our whole idea: everyone else introduces you to strangers. We give you the same 150 people, every week, until they're not strangers anymore.
About the role
We're hiring the person who runs the club on the ground. You'll own the weekly schedule and venue bookings, seat every dinner sitting by hand, and decide who earns Regular status based on attendance. This is a hands-on, full time role built around Friday, Saturday and Sunday events, not a desk job.
What you'll do
- Plan and run roughly 130 events a year, including a weekly drop-in evening, twice-monthly seated dinners, weekly outdoor activities, and two flagship dinners a year
- Book and manage venues and the weekly calendar
- Seat members at events and decide who becomes a Regular
- Get to know the club's members well enough to run a room that feels personal, not managed
- You'll be working directly alongside the founder, shaping how the club actually runs in its earliest days.
What we're looking for
This is for someone early in their career,
or still studying, who's genuinely into events, not just capable of running them. College and university students are welcome and encouraged to apply. If any of this sounds like you, we want to hear from you:
- You plan things for fun. Trips, parties, dinners, whatever, you're the one who ends up organising it
- You've got a creative or artistic streak, and an eye for how a room feels, not just whether it runs on time
- You're organised enough to actually see something through, start to finish
- You're genuinely plugged into how people socialise right now, what gets people to actually show up somewhere
- You're outgoing and comfortable in a room full of people you don't know yet
- You're up for trying something that hasn't been done before, and changing it if it doesn't work
- We're not looking for a long resume in hospitality management. We're looking for someone ready to take a real leap, learn fast, and grow into this as the club grows.
You'll be working directly alongside the founder, with real creative ownership over how this club actually feels, from the ground up.
All other details would be discussed during the interview .
