Team is looking for a strong Distinguished Software Engineer who will drive building next generation Walmart suite of products and platform by designing, building and deploying highly scalable and robust cloud based solutions. The role is expected to make a difference to the products in terms of the design and contribute towards identifying technical risks and find alternate solutions to various problems. Architect complex software systems, ensuring performance, security, and scalability needs are met. Lead technology transformation to Mciroservices architectureArchitectural guidance in building end-to-end data platform powering customer and stakeholder facing advanced analyticsProvide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, UX/UI, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and engineering.Innovation and Research: Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, conducting research to identify emerging tools and methodologies.Project Management and Delivery: Collaborate with project managers to define project scopes, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with architectural goals.Collaborative Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, promoting a culture of open communication and collaboration.Extensive experience in the design, development,



and delivery of software products with a large user base.Experience designing and operating Microservices at scaleExperience in building Agentic AI solutions using LLM models, Langraph, Langchain frameworks, using Gen AI productivity tools like Github Copilot, CodiumExperience in data platforms and analyticsPrior hands-on experience in Java, Spring, ORMs, REST APIsExperience with SQL and NoSQL databases, Kafka, Caching (scaling to global customer base)Experience with frontend architecture and tech stack (react.js, react.native, node.js) is a big plusUnderstanding of distributed technologies, public cloud technologies, scalable platforms, full stack development, Generative AI, and Operational Excellence.Experience working with geographically distributed teams.Thats what we do at Walmart Global Tech.
