Role Description The Web Technology Professor will deliver part-time, remote instruction in web technologies to diverse learners, focusing on practical, project-based teaching. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and learning materials, conducting live online classes and recorded sessions, and explaining complex concepts in an accessible, learner-friendly manner. The role involves designing assessments, evaluating assignments, providing constructive feedback, and tracking learner progress to ensure skill development.
The professor will collaborate with curriculum teams to update course content, align with current industry standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of teaching methodologies. Engagement with learners through doubt-clearing sessions, mentoring, and participation in webinars or workshops is also expected.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of teaching experience related to computer science field
- Ph.D is Mandatory
- Robust proficiency in core web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).
- Experience with back-end web development using technologies like Node.js, Express, or similar frameworks,
and knowledge of RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of web standards, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and basic UX/UI principles.
- Ability to design structured curricula, create clear instructional materials, and develop practical projects or assignments.
- Demonstrated teaching, mentoring, or training experience in academic or corporate settings, preferably in web development or related fields.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to learners at different skill levels and backgrounds.
- Comfort with remote teaching tools and learning management systems, including video conferencing platforms and online collaboration tools.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in web development.
- Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education and openness to teaching in or supporting multiple languages where possible.
- Industry experience in web development, participation in real-world projects, or contributions to open-source communities is an added advantage.
