JOB DESCRIPTION: The BX India Fund Captain support team ensures accurate and timely execution across Investment Operations which includes oversee processing issue escalations, ensures accurate reconciliations, timely reporting, smooth onboarding of funds/entities, and proper documentation storage to meet compliance and audit standards. This role is a key escalation point for reconciliation issues, drives process improvements, and coordinates across global teams to maintain operational excellence.
Responsibilities:

- Collaborating with Fund Captains in driving consistency, sharing of best practices, and governance
- Provide in timezone oversight of Fund Support COE and sign offs where appropriate
- Own initial escalation point for reconciliation issues from BX India recon managers; ensure daily completion within SLAs.
- Confirms that there are no proof differences, monitors for match performance, review material breaks, drive progress and daily oversight.
- Recommend process enhancements, partner with BX India recon managers and Fund Support teams.
- Gather inputs for various reporting needs including weekly management reporting and fund pod materials.
- Ensure reporting accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with leadership needs.
- Lead collection and storage required documentation; follow up until tasks are complete.
- Own complete first draft Axiom setup forms; confirm reconciliation readiness and Duco activity. Resolve timing gaps by enforcing workflow completion before go-live.
- Ensure responsible teams are storing key documents in target locations for external reporting requirements (funding memos, closing documents, credit agreements, payment reports, etc).
- Conduct sample-based checks; explore tech solutions to monitor adherence and flag gaps.
- Support audit evidence requests; implement daily checklist for SOC1 compliance.
- Act as the L2 escalation point for internal and external stakeholders, addressing issues that impact the overall health and performance of the fund.
- Identify and execute on automation opportunities in partnership with efforts in flight




- Once standardized and tools are available produce weekly captain slides

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Knowledge of accounting and finance.
- Understanding of Financial instruments like Syndicated / Private Bank debts, CLO's , bonds and futures, Loans, Bank Loans
- Good to have - credit experience, including fund operations, BDCs, and drawdown fund structures, warehousing and Seasoning processes
- Proven ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Expertise in reconciliation processes, break resolution, and SLA-driven workflows.
- Track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and managing escalations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word) with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Highly motivated with ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and possess strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills, multitask and deliver under tight deadlines
- The profile involves effective communication and hence possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills in verbal and written English is a must
- A demonstrated ability to write effectively and summarize large amounts of information succinctly and quickly
- A desire to work in an international team setting, often under pressure and with multiple stakeholder
