nJob Summary

nWe are seeking an experienced SmartComm Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in SmartComm Platform to design, develop, and support customer communication solutions. The role involves building scalable, high-quality document generation solutions aligned with business and compliance requirements.

nKey Responsibilities

nSmartComm

nDesign, develop, and maintain customer communication solutions using SmartComm.

nDevelop and enhance templates, layouts, rules, scripts, and content libraries.

nImplement batch and real-time document generation solutions.

nWork with XML, XSLT, and data mapping for document composition.

nIntegration & Technical Design

nIntegrate SmartComm with upstream/downstream systems (CRM, Core systems, ECM, Archive).

nDevelop solutions using SmartComm Designer, Design Manager, and Communications Server.

nSupport document distribution via print, email, PDF, and digital channels.

nEnsure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security standards.

nMaintenance & Support





nPerform defect analysis, bug fixes, and performance tuning.

nProvide production support and handle incident resolution.

nParticipate in root cause analysis and preventive improvements.

nCollaboration & Stakeholder Management

nWork closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand communication requirements.

nTranslate business requirements into technical designs.

nSupport UAT and production releases.

nProvide technical guidance to junior developers.

nRequired Skills & Qualifications

nTechnical Skills

n6+ years of experience in SmartComm/OpenText Exstream.

nStrong hands-on experience with:

nSmartComm/Exstream Designer & Design Manager

nControl Center / Communications Server

nXML, XSD, XSLT

nScripting (JavaScript or Exstream scripting)

nExperience with document composition, batch processing, and real-time generation.

nGood understanding of print and digital communication workflows.

nTools & Platforms

nExperience with version control tools (Git, SVN).

nFamiliarity with Unix/Linux environments.

nExperience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

nDomain & Soft Skills

nExperience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI) is preferred.

nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.

nGood communication and documentation skills.

nAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented setting.

nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

nIndividual role

nNice to Have

nOpenText certification in Exstream / SmartComm.

nExperience with regulatory and compliance-driven communications.

nExposure to cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
