Sunshine Management
India
Compensation: ₹12–18 LPA
Hours: Monday–Friday | U.S. Central Time
Experience: 7–15 years
Reports to: Founder & CEO
Sunshine Management is seeking a Senior Operations Manager who is ready to lead and implement from Day 1.
We operate multiple U.S.-based real estate businesses across development, construction, property management and brokerage, supported by a distributed team across finance, project management, estimating/procurement, HR, marketing, IT and administration.
This is not an administrative role.
We need an experienced operator who can manage managers, drive accountability across a remote workforce, strengthen our operating systems and ensure work gets completed without the CEO having to chase execution.
What You Will Own
- Manage and drive accountability across our distributed team.
- Manage managers and ensure department leads manage their teams.
- Turn company priorities into clear owners, deadlines and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure commitments move from assignment to completion.
- Identify overdue, stalled and at-risk work before leadership has to find it.
- Run the company's weekly operating and accountability cadence.
- Own KPI, scorecard and performance reporting.
- Address underperformance and implement corrective actions.
- Manage cross-functional handoffs between departments.
- Identify capacity, staffing and workflow problems.
- Escalate risks before they become missed deadlines or financial problems.
- Build and enforce SOPs, controls and operating standards.
- Bring the CEO solutions and recommendations—not simply problems.
Asana & Operating SystemsAsana is our primary accountability and work-management system.
You will own the discipline around its use, including:
- Accurate owners and deadlines
- Weekly task closure
- Overdue-task management
- Dependencies and handoffs
- Supporting documentation
- Department dashboards
- KPI visibility
- Management accountability
- Escalation of blocked work
You must be comfortable improving an existing system—not waiting for someone else to design it for you. Day 1 Means Day 1We are not looking for someone who needs 60–90 days to begin making an impact.
You should be prepared from your first week to assess our people, priorities, processes and systems and begin implementing improvements.
That includes
- Reviewing current priorities and overdue work
- Identifying accountability gaps
- Establishing operating discipline
- Improving workflows
- Implementing dashboards and reporting
- Strengthening management cadence
- Identifying bottlenecks
- Implementing SOPs and controls
- Holding managers and team members accountable
We are not hiring someone to recommend what others should implement. You will own implementation. What You Must Bring
- 7–15 years of progressive operations experience.
- Proven experience managing remote/distributed teams.
- Experience managing managers, not only individual contributors.
- Experience supporting U.S.-based operations or clients.
- Strong performance-management experience.
- Strong KPI, scorecard and dashboard experience.
- Advanced experience with Asana or comparable work-management platforms.
- Strong process-improvement and SOP implementation experience.
- Robust written and spoken English.
- Strong business and financial literacy.
- Ability to work U.S.
Central
Time hours.
- Ability to operate independently with limited CEO supervision.
U.S./India distributed-team management experience is strongly preferred. Real estate, construction, professional services, shared services or another complex, deadline-driven operating environment is preferred.
TechnologyYou should be highly comfortable with:
Asana | Microsoft 365 | Teams | SharePoint | AI & Automation Tools
We expect our Operations Manager to actively use technology and AI to improve efficiency, accountability, reporting and workflow automation.
This Role Is NOT For You If
- You need continuous direction.
- Your experience is primarily administrative.
- You have never managed a distributed team.
- You avoid difficult performance conversations.
- You allow deadlines to move without accountability.
- You wait for problems to reach leadership before acting.
- You confuse sending reminders with management.
- You report problems without recommending solutions.
- You need someone else to implement your ideas.
- You are uncomfortable holding managers accountable.
The StandardThe CEO should not be the person discovering overdue work.
The CEO should not have to chase managers for updates.
The CEO should not be the first person to discover a missed deadline.
The CEO should not have to personally enforce routine accountability.
Your responsibility is to build and maintain an operating system where that is no longer necessary.
