We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have 0–3 years of experience in Java application development and a strong interest in building scalable, secure, and high-performing backend services. You will work closely with senior developers, architects, QA engineers, and product teams to develop and maintain enterprise applications and microservices.
Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Framework.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Integrate applications with databases, messaging systems, and third-party services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Support application deployments and production issue analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in Java application development.
- Strong understanding of Core Java concepts (Collections, Exception Handling,
Multithreading, OOP).
- Knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and REST API development.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of SQL and database design concepts.
- Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with JPA/Hibernate.
- Knowledge of messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or Kafka.
- Basic understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
