Summary

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Capacity & FinOps Consultant to provide strategic leadership across Enterprise Capacity Management, demand forecasting, infrastructure financial optimization, Software Asset Management alignment, technology lifecycle planning, and executive reporting.

This role will serve as the process subject matter expert responsible for establishing and governing the enterprise Capacity Management operating model while ensuring infrastructure investments are aligned with business demand, financial objectives, licensing requirements, and long-term technology strategy.

The successful candidate will combine strong infrastructure management expertise with Capacity Management, FinOps, Software Asset Management, forecasting, governance, and senior stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Capacity Management Governance

· Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the Enterprise Capacity Management operating model.

· Define Capacity Management policies, standards, processes, controls, and governance frameworks.

· Lead weekly, monthly, and periodic capacity governance reviews.

· Establish and track Capacity Management KPIs, SLAs, and performance measures.

· Maintain an enterprise capacity risk register and ensure risks are appropriately tracked and escalated.

· Drive continuous improvement across Capacity Management processes and operating practices.

· Partner with infrastructure, cloud, finance, technology, and business stakeholders on capacity-related decision making.

Capacity Planning & Demand Forecasting

· Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual capacity forecasting activities.

· Develop 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year capacity plans.

· Translate business demand and growth expectations into infrastructure capacity requirements.

· Perform historical utilization, growth trend, and demand analysis.

· Support infrastructure investment and technology expansion planning.

· Provide inputs into annual and multi-year budget forecasting.

· Support Disaster Recovery capacity planning and resilience requirements.

· Identify future capacity constraints, investment requirements, and optimization opportunities.

FinOps & Infrastructure Cost Optimization





· Improve visibility into infrastructure and cloud consumption costs.

· Develop and support showback and chargeback reporting.

· Conduct infrastructure and cloud cost optimization assessments.

· Perform cloud consumption and utilization reviews.

· Identify rightsizing and resource optimization opportunities.

· Develop Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI) assessments.

· Identify and track cost avoidance and cost optimization opportunities.

· Provide recommendations balancing performance, capacity, resiliency, and financial efficiency.

Software Asset Management Alignment

· Evaluate software licensing implications associated with infrastructure capacity decisions.

· Partner with Software Asset Management teams to align capacity planning and licensing strategy.

· Assess licensing impact across major technology vendors and platforms, including:

o Oracle o IBM o Microsoft o Red Hat o OpenShift o VMware

· Identify potential licensing and compliance risks resulting from infrastructure changes.

· Incorporate licensing considerations into rightsizing, consolidation, migration, and optimization recommendations.

· Identify opportunities to reduce infrastructure and software-related costs while maintaining operational requirements.

Technology Lifecycle Management

· Track End of Life (EOL), End of Support (EOS), and End of Maintenance (EOM) milestones.

· Assess vendor technology and product roadmaps.

· Support infrastructure refresh and modernization planning.

· Develop upgrade, migration, and replacement strategies.

· Incorporate lifecycle considerations into long-term capacity and investment plans.

· Produce lifecycle risk and technology refresh reporting.

Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Management

· Develop executive dashboards and Capacity Management scorecards.

· Produce capacity health, utilization, forecasting, and optimization reports.

· Prepare strategic infrastructure planning presentations.

· Present capacity risks, investment requirements, cost optimization opportunities,



and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

· Support steering committees and technology governance forums.

· Translate complex infrastructure and financial data into clear business recommendations.

Qualifications

· 10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Management, infrastructure strategy, technology operations, or related disciplines.

· 5 years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Capacity Planning or Capacity Management.

· Strong knowledge of ITIL Capacity Management principles.

· Strong knowledge of enterprise Capacity Management governance and operating models.

· Demonstrated experience with Capacity Planning, demand forecasting, and infrastructure growth modeling.

· Hands-on FinOps and technology cost management experience.

· Strong understanding of Software Asset Management and software licensing considerations.

· Experience with infrastructure cost optimization and financial analysis.

· Experience conducting TCO, ROI, rightsizing, and cost avoidance assessments.

· Strong technology lifecycle management knowledge.

· Demonstrated experience working with senior and executive stakeholders.

· Strong reporting, presentation, and data analysis capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience within banking, financial services, or another highly regulated enterprise environment.

· Experience managing enterprise Capacity Management governance programs.

· Familiarity with cloud financial management and FinOps operating models.

· Experience working across infrastructure, cloud, Software Asset Management, procurement, and finance functions.

Preferred Certifications

· ITIL Managing Qualified

· FinOps Certified Practitioner

· IAITAM CSAM / CHAMP

· Certified Capacity Manager

· PMP or PRINCE2

Pay: ₹1,500.00 - ₹2,500.00 per hour
