nRole Overview

nWe are seeking a hands-on Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership across React Native mobile

napplications, Java-based backend services, APIs, and integrations. The role will translate solution

narchitecture into high-quality implementation, guide engineers, resolve complex technical issues, and

nsupport predictable delivery of payment requests, bill splitting, contact-based payments, and open

nbanking journeys.

nKey Responsibilities

n∙Lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient mobile and

nbackend solutions.

n∙Translate solution architecture into detailed technical designs, implementation patterns, and

nengineering work plans.

n∙Provide hands-on leadership across Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs,

nintegrations, and React Native mobile channels.

n∙Drive coding standards, code reviews, testability, engineering quality, technical debt

nreduction, and reusable patterns.

n∙Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, UX, React Native engineers, API

nengineers, testers, and DevOps teams.

n∙Own technical estimation, dependency identification, implementation risks, release readiness,

nand delivery-level technical decisions.

n∙Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across mobile, API, integration, and backend

nlayers.

n∙Ensure implementation meets security, performance, scalability, resilience, observability, and

noperational requirements.

n∙Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and uplift engineering capability within

nthe delivery pod.

n∙Contribute to Agile ceremonies, CI/CD adoption, automated testing, production support, and

ncontinuous improvement.

nRequired Skills & Experience

n∙6-12 years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership of enterprise

ndelivery teams.

n∙Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, object-oriented design, and





ndistributed systems.

n∙Experience designing and integrating secure REST APIs, third-party services, and event-

ndriven or asynchronous workflows.

n∙Good understanding of React Native architecture, Android/iOS integration, mobile lifecycle,

nauthentication, deep linking, push notifications, and secure storage.

n∙Strong system-design capability covering scalability, availability, resilience, performance,

ncaching, observability, and failure handling.

n∙Experience with Git, CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, automated quality

ngates, and release governance.

n∙Proven experience leading code reviews, resolving complex technical issues, mentoring

nengineers, and influencing delivery decisions.

n∙Experience managing technical estimates, dependencies, risks, and implementation outcomes

nin Agile delivery environments.

n∙Banking and financial services domain experience in one or more areas such as Payments,

nOpen Banking, Wealth and Asset Management, Commercial Banking, Retail Banking,

nCorporate Banking, or Capital Markets.

nDesirable Experience

n∙Payment request, bill splitting, digital wallets, transaction processing, consent management,

nor third-party bank integration.

n∙Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus Docker, Kubernetes, API gateways, and

nevent streaming.

n∙OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, mTLS, API security, and regulated financial-services

n∙Experience working with large financial institutions, consulting teams, or distributed
