Role Overview

We’re looking for a QA Intern to help test and improve Osto’s cybersecurity platform across web applications and desktop agents. You’ll work closely with the QA and engineering teams, learn how professional software testing works, and contribute to finding and preventing bugs before they reach customers.

No prior cybersecurity knowledge is required — you’ll be trained on the product. However, you should have a strong understanding of QA fundamentals and be comfortable applying them in real-world scenarios.

What You’ll Do

- Write and execute test cases covering positive, negative, and edge-case scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, UI/UX, compatibility, and exploratory testing.
- Test web applications across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
- Test desktop agents across Windows, macOS, and Linux, including different OS versions.
- Perform basic performance and load checks to identify slowness, crashes, or high CPU/memory usage.
- Identify, document, and track bugs with transparent reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, severity, and priority.
- Re-test fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
- Maintain test cases, checklists, and testing documentation in Confluence.
- Collaborate closely with QA engineers and developers through daily standups, bug discussions, and issue resolution.

What We’re Looking For





- Completed degree with strong fundamentals in manual QA and software testing.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, testing methodologies, test case design, and defect life cycle.
- Ability to think through positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios.
- Strong attention to detail and a natural “what happens if I do this?” mindset.
- Good understanding of severity vs. priority and how to assess defects.
- Clear written English and the ability to write structured test cases and bug reports.
- Comfortable using web applications and willing to learn browser DevTools at a basic level.
- Comfortable working across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Good communication skills, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Bonus Points

- Exposure to performance/load testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Basic understanding of CPU, memory, and system monitoring.
- Familiarity with command-line tools on Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- Curiosity about cybersecurity and how security products work.
