Role Summary The Program Officer will support two key program areas:
1. High School Leadership Program (HSLP)
Program coordination, implementation, stakeholder engagement, beneficiary tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
2. Program Communications
Reporting, documentation, content development, and coordination with field and internal teams across programs.
Key Responsibilities
High School Leadership Program
· Plan and coordinate HSLP activities, workshops, events, facilitators, volunteers, and participating schools.
- Maintain implementation plans, calendars, beneficiary data, and program records.
- Track beneficiary participation, engagement, retention, progress, and outcomes.
- Coordinate with schools, facilitators, volunteers, and other stakeholders and address implementation issues as they arise.
- Coordinate and monitor facilitators and volunteers, including orientation, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Prepare program reports, presentations, updates, and supporting documentation.
- Provide all programmatic support required for HSLP funding, including donor and CSR proposals, grant applications, budgets and program inputs, due-diligence documentation, donor reports, utilization-related program information, presentations, impact data, and responses to funder queries.
- Coordinate with Fundraising, Finance, CSR, and leadership teams to ensure timely submission of all funding-related information and documentation.
- Gather beneficiary and stakeholder feedback and use it to strengthen program delivery, support curriculum improvement and new initiatives.
Program Communications
· Coordinate with program leadership, State Managers, field teams, and internal departments for timely collection of information and inputs across programs.
- Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, annual, donor, CSR, grant, and management reports.
- Develop and edit all program-related content, including proposals, concept notes, presentations, program briefs, donor updates, newsletters, case studies, impact stories, success stories,
and stakeholder communication.
- Develop short program and impact videos for donors, funders, CSR partners, and other stakeholders, including scripting, coordinating field inputs, basic editing, and timely sharing of finalized videos.
- Translate program data and field updates into clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate reports and narratives.
- Coordinate inputs required for proposals, donor communication, presentations, meetings, and institutional reporting.
- Maintain reporting calendars, program records, beneficiary stories, photographs, supporting documents, and an updated repository of program information.
- Document program achievements, outcomes, challenges, innovations, milestones, and learnings.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of program data, statistics, terminology, messaging, and documentation across all materials.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Excellent written communication, editing, report writing, and content-development skills.
- Strong program coordination, project management, stakeholder engagement, and follow-up.
- Ability to develop basic program videos, including scripting, content selection, simple editing, and preparation of donor- and stakeholder-facing video communication.
- Ability to interpret program data and translate it into clear reports, presentations, and impact narratives.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, quality, and consistency.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and presentation-development skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, and PowerPoint/Slides.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Communications, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in program coordination, reporting, communications, documentation, or the nonprofit/social-impact sector.
- Experience in education, disability, or community-based programs will be preferred.
