Role & Responsibilities
- Design and develop all types of conveyor systems, including Slat Conveyors, Belt Conveyors, Chain Conveyors, Roller Conveyors, Pallet Conveyors, Overhead Conveyors, and other material handling systems.
- Design and develop Scissor Lifts, Fixtures, Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), Material Handling Equipment, and customized automation machinery.
- Prepare detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Ability to build, lead, and independently manage the complete Mechanical Design Department, including forming and developing a capable team, allocating responsibilities, guiding team members, managing design activities, and taking end-to-end ownership of projects from concept to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
- Select suitable mechanical components, materials, bearings, gearboxes, motors, chains, belts, rollers, shafts, and other components as per application requirements.
- Perform design calculations and ensure proper consideration of load capacity, strength, safety, durability, reliability,



and manufacturability.
- Optimize designs for performance, cost-effectiveness, ease of manufacturing, installation, and maintenance.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure designs are correctly implemented during production.
- Provide technical support and resolve design-related issues during manufacturing, assembly, installation, commissioning, and production support.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for component selection, technical discussions, drawings, quotations, development, and procurement.
- Support supplier development, vendor sourcing, and evaluation for mechanical components and fabricated parts.
- Coordinate with customers for technical discussions, design reviews, modifications, approvals, and project requirements.
- Prepare and review BOMs and technical documents for customer enquiries, quotations, and project execution.
