Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Garment Merchandiser to manage customer orders from development through sampling, costing, production and shipment.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, excellent follow-up ability, good garment costing knowledge and experience coordinating between buyers, sampling, production, quality, sourcing and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Liaise directly with buyers and internal teams from enquiry through shipment.
- Manage the complete order lifecycle:
- Product development
- Sampling
- Costing
- Order confirmation
- Pre-production
- Bulk production
- Quality approvals
- Shipment
- Review buyer tech packs and communicate requirements clearly to internal teams.
- Coordinate proto, fit, size-set, PP and shipment samples.
- Maintain sample and production critical-path trackers.
- Ensure approvals are received on time for:
- Fabric
- Trims
- Colours
- Prints/embroidery
- Fits
- Packaging




- Prepare and review garment cost sheets including:
- Fabric consumption
- Fabric cost
- Trims
- Processing
- CM
- Packing
- Freight
- Margin
- Work closely with sourcing and production teams to ensure materials are booked on time.
- Conduct regular WIP reviews and identify potential delivery risks.
- Coordinate PP meetings and ensure all approvals are closed before production.
- Monitor production progress against agreed ex-factory dates.
- Work closely with quality teams on inline, end-line and final inspection issues.
- Communicate delays or risks to customers clearly and proactively.
- Maintain accurate order files, BOMs, costing sheets and shipment documentation.
- Support invoice, packing list and shipment follow-up where required.
- Coordinate with textile merchandising team for fabric readiness and quality.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation without compromising quality.
