Role Description The Online Scratch Tutor (UK Shift Timing) from 8:30 PM - 1:30 AM (5 hours) will deliver live, online Scratch programming classes to school-age learners, following Codeyoung’s interactive and student-centric teaching model. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, conducting virtual sessions, guiding learners through projects, and providing constructive feedback on their work. The tutor will encourage creativity, troubleshoot coding challenges, and adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and age groups.

This is a part-time,



remote role that requires reliable internet access and the ability to work during UK time zone shifts.

Qualifications

- Robust knowledge of Scratch programming and block-based coding, with the ability to explain concepts in a simple, engaging way.
- Experience teaching or tutoring children or teens online, ideally in STEM or coding subjects.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with a patient, encouraging, and student-focused approach.
- Comfort with online teaching tools and platforms, including video conferencing and collaborative digital tools.
- Ability to plan structured lessons with clear learning outcomes and hands-on activities.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home workstation for remote teaching.
- Availability to work part-time during UK shift timings, including consistency in scheduled sessions.
