Position: Medical Biller & Coder – Ophthalmology

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller & Coder specializing in Ophthalmology to join our growing ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ophthalmic CPT, ICD-10-CM coding, insurance billing, claim submission, and denial management.

Responsibilities:

- Review clinical documentation and assign accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes.
- Perform charge entry, claim submission, payment review, and insurance follow-up.
- Manage denials, appeals, and claim corrections.
- Verify coding accuracy, medical necessity, and payer requirements.
- Apply appropriate modifiers, laterality, and global surgery rules.
- Work with Medicare, commercial insurance, and other payers.
- Maintain accurate billing records and assist with accounts receivable management.

Preferred Ophthalmology Coding Experience:

- Cataract surgery (66984/66982)
- YAG capsulotomy, LPI, SLT




- Intravitreal injections
- Corneal procedures
- OCT, visual fields, UBM, topography, and other ophthalmic testing
- Surgical global period billing and modifier management

Qualifications:

- 2 years medical billing and coding experience preferred.
- Ophthalmology experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and insurance guidelines.
- CPC, CCS-P, or similar certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and with a team.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
