About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Executive – Legal, specializing in Intellectual Property (IP), to support our FMCG business. This role offers hands-on ownership of trademark management, brand protection, packaging IP, and compliance documentation. The incumbent will work closely with the legal and marketing teams to protect and manage the company's intellectual property assets, and will be expected to independently handle routine IP matters with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct and evaluate trademark searches (India and international markets).
- Handle end-to-end trademark filing, prosecution tracking, and documentation.
- Monitor the market and online platforms for brand infringement and take-down actions.
- Manage design registration for packaging and labels, and coordinate with agents/counsel where required.
- Review marketing and packaging creatives from an IP compliance perspective before release.
- Draft and vet NDAs, IP assignment agreements, licensing agreements, and related contracts.
- Maintain and update the IP database, renewal calendars, and documentation records.
- Track opposition, objection, and renewal timelines, and coordinate responses with external counsel.




- Conduct research on IP laws and regulatory developments relevant to the FMCG and food industry.
- Support cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, compliance) on day-to-day IP and contractual queries.

Eligibility Criteria

- LL.B / LL.M with 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Intellectual Property Law.
- Prior experience in trademark filing, prosecution, and portfolio management is required.
- Sound working knowledge of the Trademark Act, Copyright Act, and Designs Act.
- Experience drafting and reviewing NDAs, licensing, and IP assignment agreements.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and documentation skills.

Skills Required

- MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple IP matters simultaneously.
