Data Eminence is seeking a motivated Java Developer to join our growing development team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and backend services.

You will collaborate with frontend developers, software engineers, database teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop scalable and maintainable software solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, databases, testing, and modern software development practices while working remotely.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Developing and maintaining Java-based applications and backend services
- Writing clean, effective, reusable, and maintainable Java code
- Developing REST APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Implementing business logic based on functional and technical requirements
- Working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Using JPA and Hibernate for database integration
- Integrating backend services with frontend applications and third-party APIs
- Implementing authentication, authorization, and application security features
- Debugging and resolving application issues and production bugs
- Writing unit tests and supporting automated testing processes
- Using Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development
- Participating in code reviews and following software development best practices
- Supporting application deployment and maintenance activities
- Optimizing application performance and reliability
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in Java development or a relevant internship/project
- Strong understanding of Java programming fundamentals
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
- Familiarity with Java Collections, exception handling, and multithreading concepts
- Basic understanding of Spring Boot
- Familiarity with REST API development
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with JPA/Hibernate is a plus
- Understanding of Git and version control
- Basic knowledge of software testing and debugging
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle is beneficial
- Basic understanding of authentication and application security is a plus
