Infor LN Technical Consultant – AX 2009 to Infor LN Migration

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Infor LN Technical Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 to Infor LN migration projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of Infor LN Tools, 4GL, DAL, Extensions, integrations, APIs, ETL, and data migration, along with a good understanding of ERP modules such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance.

The consultant will work closely with functional consultants, architects, and business teams to support development, customization, integration, migration, testing, and post-migration activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and customize solutions in Infor LN using Tools, 4GL, DAL, and Extensions
- Support end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 to Infor LN migration
- Perform data extraction, transformation, mapping, and loading activities
- Develop and maintain ETL scripts and migration utilities
- Translate functional requirements and specifications into technical designs and code
- Develop and maintain interfaces, APIs, and system integrations
- Work with Infor ION, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and middleware tools
- Redevelop or migrate existing AX 2009 customizations into Infor LN
- Support enhancements, customization requests, and production bug fixes
- Participate in data validation, reconciliation, and migration issue resolution
- Assist with system testing, integration testing, UAT, deployment, and go-live activities
- Troubleshoot migration and post-production issues




- Collaborate with functional consultants, solution architects, and business stakeholders
- Perform code reviews, performance optimization, and technical documentation
- Ensure development follows established coding and quality standards

- Extracting data from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009
- Understanding AX 2009 tables, data structures, and ERP modules
- Mapping AX 2009 data structures to the Infor LN data model
- Developing transformation and migration logic
- Creating ETL processes and migration scripts
- Migrating or redeveloping AX customizations in Infor LN
- Performing migration validation and reconciliation
- Identifying and resolving data quality and migration issues




- Supporting post-migration defect resolution and stabilization

Hands-on AX 2009 to Infor LN migration experience is highly preferred for this position.

Functional Knowledge

Candidates should have basic to good functional understanding of ERP processes across:

- Manufacturing
- Supply Chain
- Finance

The candidate should be comfortable working with functional consultants to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Integration Experience

Experience developing and supporting integrations using:

- Infor ION
- REST APIs
- SOAP Web Services
- Middleware platforms
- Legacy systems
- Third-party applications

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Infor LN implementation, migration, or upgrade projects
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 or AX 2012
- Exposure to Infor OS
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
- Experience working in Manufacturing or Distribution environments
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Valuable communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
