About the roleBetrrr is looking for an Illustration & Motion Design Intern to help us make our product feel more alive, expressive and memorable.
You'll work closely with the founding and product team to create illustrations, animations and visual elements that become part of the actual Betrrr product, from onboarding and empty states to micro-interactions and promotional experiences.
This is a hands-on internship where you'll work on real product work and see your designs become part of a consumer product.
Responsibilities
- Create custom illustrations for Betrrr's app, website and marketing experiences
- Design UI illustrations for onboarding, empty states, success states and other product moments
- Create micro-interactions and lightweight UI animations
- Work on motion graphics and short animations for product and social media
- Collaborate directly with the founding/product team to turn ideas into polished visual experiences
- Maintain consistency across illustration style, motion and visual language
- Explore current visual styles and animation techniques
- Iterate quickly based on feedback and product requirements
What we're looking for
- Strong interest in illustration, motion design and digital products
- Good understanding of composition, typography,
colour and visual storytelling
- Ability to create clean, modern illustrations
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Rive, Lottie or similar tools
- A portfolio showing illustration, motion or UI-related work
- Ability to take feedback and iterate quickly
- Curiosity, attention to detail and willingness to experiment
- Students, recent graduates and self-taught designers are welcome
Bonus points
- Experience creating Lottie or Rive animations
- Experience designing illustrations for mobile apps
- Understanding of UI/UX principles
- Experience with 2D motion graphics

Compensation & expectationsThis is an unpaid internship. There is no monetary stipend or salary associated with this role. We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in building their portfolio through hands-on product work and collaborating closely with an early-stage startup team.
