Role Overview

The Senior Consultant IEC, Regulatory & Compliance leads the Information, Education & Communication and compliance-outreach workstream of a Programme Management Unit (PMU)



supporting a government / regulatory client raising awareness of environmental obligations among industries, urban local bodies, and citizens, and helping the regulated community understand and meet those obligations. The premise of the role is that compliance improves through information and facilitation as much as through enforcement.

The role spans IEC strategy and campaigns, plain-language guidance on regulatory requirements, industry and community outreach, public disclosure and media engagement, complaint response, and measurement of both awareness and compliance outcomes. It requires a working understanding of what environmental regulation actually asks of industries and local bodies, and the ability to explain it clearly to audiences ranging from large industry to small units and the general public.
