We are looking for an experienced Email Deliverability & Infrastructure Specialist for a one-time project.
We currently use email for manual cold outreach without any email automation/outreach tools. We want to set up and optimize 6–9 mailboxes, with the goal of safely sending approximately 25 to 30 cold outreach emails per mailbox per day.
What we need
The freelancer will:
- Audit our existing email/domain setup
- Set up or fix SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX and other DNS records
- Review our current domains and mailboxes for deliverability issues
- Identify why some emails are landing in spam
- Check mailbox/domain reputation and inbox placement
- Recommend the best setup for our 6–9 mailboxes
- Configure the mailboxes correctly for manual cold outreach
- Recommend appropriate sending limits and practices
- Test deliverability before handover
- Provide a clear report/checklist explaining the setup and any ongoing best practices
Our team will handle the actual outreach manually. We are not looking for someone to send emails or manage campaigns.
Current problems
- Some emails are landing in spam
- Response rates are inconsistent
- We occasionally have email sending/receiving issues
- We want a reliable technical setup before increasing our outreach volume
Ideal freelancer
- Proven experience with email deliverability and cold-email infrastructure
- Solid knowledge of Google Workspace/Microsoft 365
- Excellent understanding of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, DNS, SMTP and email reputation
- Experience troubleshooting spam/inbox placement issues
- Familiarity with tools used to test email deliverability and domain reputation
Deliverables
The project should be considered complete when:
- Our existing setup has been audited
- 6–9 mailboxes/domains are properly configured
- Authentication and DNS records are correctly configured
- Deliverability issues have been identified and addressed
- The setup has been tested
- We receive a brief report with
