Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Vue.js to join our client’s engineering team on a freelance/contract basis.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Python backend development, Vue.js frontend development, REST APIs, SQL databases, AWS cloud services, and modern AI/GenAI technologies. The role involves building scalable, secure and production-ready web applications and integrating AI capabilities into customer-facing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using Python and Vue.js.
- Develop robust backend services, REST APIs and business logic using Python.
- Build responsive and reusable frontend components using Vue.js.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and third-party services.
- Design and optimize SQL databases, queries and data models.
- Deploy and maintain applications and workloads on AWS.
- Work with AWS services such as S3, Lambda and other relevant cloud services.
- Integrate LLM/GenAI capabilities into web applications where required.
- Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) workflows and integrate vector databases.
- Work with prompt engineering and AI-powered application features.
- Develop and integrate AI/ML services into customer-facing workflows.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable and well-tested code.
- Troubleshoot application, API, database and production issues.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and production support.

Required Technical Skills

Backend

- Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- Experience with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or Django.
- Strong experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
- Good understanding of authentication, authorization and API security.

Frontend

- Strong hands-on experience with Vue.js.
- JavaScript / TypeScript.
- HTML5,



CSS3 and responsive web development.
- Experience building reusable UI components and integrating REST APIs.
- Knowledge of state management and modern frontend development practices.

Database
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar.
- Ability to design schemas, optimize queries and work with application data.

Cloud – AWS
- Hands-on experience deploying applications on AWS.
- Knowledge of:
- AWS Lambda
- Amazon S3
- AWS application deployment and infrastructure
- Cloud-based application architecture

AI / GenAI Stack
- Understanding or hands-on experience with LLM / Generative AI applications.
- Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
- Knowledge of prompt engineering.
- Experience working with vector databases / vector search.
- Experience integrating AI/ML workloads into production applications.
- Familiarity with tools/frameworks used for AI application development is preferred.

Good to Have
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn.
- Exposure to ML pipelines and MLOps.
- Experience with MLflow, Kubeflow or model registries.
- Experience deploying AI/ML workloads on AWS, including SageMaker or Bedrock.
- Experience with healthcare, clinical data or clinical NLP is an advantage.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.

- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently in a freelance/contract setting.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions.
- Experience working across both frontend and backend technologies.
