Our client is a rapid-growing company in the prefabricated steel structures industry, providing end-to-end solutions from design and international sourcing to local fabrication and installation. They are seeking for a Fabrication Plant Engineer who is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and control of shop floor fabrication activities, ensuring that production is executed in accordance with approved drawings, quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements.
:
- Ensure WPS, WPQ, and approved welding procedures are followed.
- Coordinate dimensional inspections before dispatch.
- Coordinate traceability documentation with QA/QC
- Verify weld identification, welder traceability and support NDT activities and NCR corrective actions.
- Ensure member marking throughout fabrication and also record fabrication status from cutting to dispatch
- Allocate work between fabrication teams and ensure coordination production sequence with supervisors
Requirements:
- Diploma or B.E./ B. Tech in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in structural steel fabrication
- Minimum 2–3 years in workshop/shop floor supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Tekla drawings, fabrication processes, welding standards, AISC, MBMA, ASTM, ISO 9001, and OSHA
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, production planning, and communication skills
