Role Description The Event Manager role at Book My Baraat is a full-time, on-site position based in Faridabad.

The Event

Manager will coordinate end-to-end Baraat events, from initial client consultation and requirements gathering to final execution on the day of the celebration. Daily tasks include planning event timelines, aligning with DJs, Dhol players, and technical crews, managing special effects logistics, and ensuring all equipment and vehicles are ready and dispatched on schedule. The role involves managing vendor relationships, working in cross-functional teams both inside the organization and with vendors, and maintaining accurate documentation and checklists.

Manager will also oversee in office event operations, supervise support staff, resolve issues in real time, and ensure that every Baraat meets Book My Baraat’s quality and safety standards while delivering an exceptional client experience.

Qualifications

- Experience in event planning and on-ground event management, including coordination of multiple vendors and timelines.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle logistics, checklists, and simultaneous events.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction, vendor negotiation, and team coordination.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments, with sound problem-solving and decision-making skills during live events.
- Basic understanding of audio-visual setups, technical equipment, and special effects operations is an advantage.
- Comfort with using digital tools for scheduling, documentation, and communications; familiarity with spreadsheets and project trackers.
- Knowledge of wedding and Baraat traditions and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior experience in the events, hospitality, or entertainment industry preferred; a bachelor’s degree in events, hospitality, business, or a related field is beneficial.
