To optimize this role for the modern B2B SaaS job market, the profile needs to evolve from a traditional Email Marketing Specialist into a Lifecycle & Demand Generation Email Specialist.
In top-tier SaaS companies, email marketers aren't just responsible for keeping existing lists warm; they are key drivers of pipeline growth. They own the intersection of Lifecycle Nurturing, Outbound/Inbound Lead Generation, and Product Demo Acceleration.
### Experience
3–5 years of hands-on experience in B2B Email Marketing, Lead Generation, Lifecycle Nurturing, or Marketing Automation (preferably in SaaS, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Tech).
## Job Summary
We are looking for a results-driven Lifecycle & Demand Generation Email Specialist to build, execute, and optimize email programs for UltraShip.
In this role, you will sit at the intersection of marketing and sales—owning the strategy and execution that drives inbound/outbound lead acquisition, demo bookings, trial activations, and lifecycle retention. You will turn cold prospects into qualified leads and guide active users through structured email journeys to maximize pipeline growth and customer lifetime value.
## Key Responsibilities
### 1. Demand Generation & Demo Booking
- Design, build, and optimize email campaigns specifically engineered to drive qualified product demo bookings and trial sign-ups.
- Partner with Sales and Business Development (BDR/SDR) teams to align email sequences with outbound target account lists (ABM) and sales outreach.
- Create automated "Fast-Response" nurture workflows for inbound leads (content downloads, webinar attendees, site visitors) to convert them into booked demos.
- Develop trigger-based campaign logic that identifies high-intent behavior and immediately prompts prospects to schedule a call with the sales team.
### 2. Lifecycle Email Marketing & Journey Mapping
- Map and execute full-funnel lifecycle email campaigns (Prospect → Trial/Demo → Active Customer → Expansion → Renewal/Win-back).
- Build behavioral automation workflows for trial onboarding, product updates, feature adoption, and churn reduction.
- Establish optimal send cadences, automated follow-ups,
and decay rules to prevent list fatigue while maintaining consistent pipeline velocity.
### 3. Conversion-Driven Copywriting & Messaging
- Write high-converting email copy, subject lines, preheaders, and calls-to-action (CTAs) tailored to distinct B2B buyer personas and decision-makers.
- Draft cold outbound sequences, warm nurture drips, and urgency-driven promotional campaigns that directly drive meeting bookings.
- A/B test hook formats, value propositions, and CTA placements (e.g., direct booking links vs. low-friction questions) to continuously lift response rates.
### 4. Audience Segmentation & Database Hygiene
- Segment databases based on Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), industry vertical, buying stage, product usage, and engagement history.
- Manage specialized segments including:
- Cold Outbound / ICP Prospect Lists
- Stalled Demos & Unconverted Leads
- Active Product / Trial Users
- Customer Accounts (Upsell/Cross-sell)
- Churned / Inactive Contacts (Win-back)
- Enforce strict list hygiene protocols, sunsetting unengaged contacts and removing invalid addresses to safeguard sender reputation.
### 5. Deliverability, Technical Setup & Compliance
- Monitor and proactively protect sender reputation, domain authority, and inbox placement across all marketing and outbound domains.
- Manage and audit authentication protocols including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Oversee secondary domain setups, IP/domain warm-ups, and inbox monitoring tools (e.g., GlockApps, Mailtester).
- Maintain compliance with global data privacy regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL) and ensure opt-out mechanisms function flawlessly.
### 6. Pipeline Analytics & Optimization
- Track end-to-end performance metrics—looking beyond vanity metrics (opens) to focus on operational and business impact (CTR,
Demo Bookings, Pipeline Value).
- Conduct systematic A/B and multivariate tests on messaging, send times, and workflow logic.
- Report weekly and monthly on pipeline contribution, lead-to-demo conversion rates, and list growth metrics.
## Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Sales Demos Booked / Meetings Scheduled
- Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) & Pipeline Contribution
- Trial / Lead-to-Demo Conversion Rate
- Click-Through Rate (CTR) & Click-to-Open Rate (CTOR)
- Email Delivery Rate & Inbox Placement Rate
- Bounce Rate (<2%) & Spam Complaint Rate (<0.1%)
- Re-engagement / Win-back Rate
## Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in B2B Email Marketing, Demand Generation, or Lifecycle Marketing.
- Proven track record of driving pipeline and demo bookings through email campaigns (portfolio or verifiable metrics required).
- Exceptional B2B persuasive copywriting skills with an ability to communicate complex product value propositions simply.
- Deep understanding of marketing automation, CRM architecture, lead scoring, and automated routing.
- Hands-on experience with deliverability management (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, list cleaning tools).
- Robust analytical mindset: able to isolate underperforming funnel stages and implement data-backed solutions.
## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Customer.io, Apollo, Instantly, Clay, or Salesloft.
- Prior background in B2B SaaS, Logistics, Supply Chain, Enterprise Tech, or Freight Technology.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for editing email templates.
- Experience setting up multi-touch outreach that connects email with LinkedIn/sales messaging.
## Candidate Mindset
- Growth-Oriented: Views email not just as a communication tool, but as a primary engine for pipeline and revenue.
- Sales-Aligned: Thinks like an SDR/Account Executive—understands what makes a prospect click "Book a Demo".
- Execution-Focused: Capable of building campaigns from concept to copy, workflow building, testing, and reporting.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
