Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and responsible Drama Mentor to teach drama to students in assigned schools/classes. The role involves delivering the prescribed curriculum, preparing lessons, managing classroom activities, maintaining academic records, and supporting students through rehearsals and stage productions.

The ideal candidate should be confident working with children, have an interest or background in theatre/performing arts, and be comfortable taking ownership of classes and production responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver drama curriculum effectively and prepare lesson plans, teaching aids and resources in advance.

Maintain attendance, daily reports, lesson trackers and other academic documentation.

Assign and check worksheets and complete assessments within timelines.

Maintain a safe, organised and engaging classroom environment.

Attend PTMs and conduct parent orientations, presentations and demonstrations when required.

Coordinate professionally with schools, parents, students and internal teams.

Participate in rehearsals, technical runs, dress rehearsals, culminations and production shows.

Understand scripts, scenes and production requirements.

Plan rehearsals, blocking, formations, entrances, exits and stage movements.

Coordinate costumes, props, music, sound effects and other production requirements.

Assist with basic audio editing and production documentation.





Ensure assigned students and scenes are performance-ready.

Maintain proper class handover and continuity during planned absences.

Complete assigned responsibilities within deadlines and communicate challenges proactively.

Attend mandatory training, meetings, events and upskilling sessions.

Skills & Qualifications

Robust communication and interpersonal skills.

Interest or experience in theatre, drama, acting or performing arts.

Good classroom management skills.

Comfortable working with children/students.

Creativity, confidence and stage presence.

Ability to plan and organise rehearsals and productions.

Basic knowledge of presentations/PPTs and audio editing is an advantage.

Responsible, punctual and willing to learn.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Time & Attendance

Working and teaching hours will follow the mutually agreed schedule.

Candidates must be able to travel to assigned schools/centres.

Arrival is required 30 minutes before the scheduled class/session.

Additional hours may be required during rehearsals, events and performances.
