Key Responsibilities
n• Programme ownership: Own end-to-end delivery accountability for managed technology
nengagements — spanning planning, execution, release management, and post-go-live
nsupport — with clear SLA and milestone commitments to the client.
n• Client relationship management: Serve as the primary delivery point of contact for client
nstakeholders; run steering reviews, present progress and risk registers, and proactively
naddress issues before they escalate.
n• Team leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional pods comprising software
nengineers, data engineers, BAs, QA specialists, and scrum masters; sustain team velocity
nwhile managing attrition and bench gaps.
n• Agile and scrum governance: Drive sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release
nceremonies across one or more scrum teams; coach scrum masters and enforce agile
nhygiene without being dogmatic about process.
n• Technical oversight: Partner with tech leads on architecture decisions, code quality
nstandards, and technical debt management; review delivery estimates and call out scope or
ntimeline risks grounded in engineering reality.
n• SDLC and AIDLC governance: Apply a working command of software development
nlifecycle (SDLC) disciplines — requirements, design, build, test, release, and maintenance
n— and their AI-augmented equivalents (AIDLC), including model development pipelines,
ndata validation gates, and responsible-AI checkpoints; ensure the team's operating rhythm
nand tooling reflect the right lifecycle model for each workstream.
n• Delivery metrics and reporting: Define, track, and publish delivery KPIs — velocity,
defect
ndensity, release frequency, client CSAT — and use data to drive continuous improvement.
n• Risk and dependency management: Maintain an active risk and issue log; own the
nescalation path for blockers that cross team or client boundaries; coordinate with
ninfrastructure, security, and third-party vendors as needed.
n• Resource and capacity planning: Work with recruiting and resource management to
nforecast hiring needs, onboard recent team members, and ensure the right mix of skills is
navailable for upcoming sprints and milestones.
n• Commercial awareness: Track hours burn, scope change, and margin health on your
nengagements; flag commercial risks and support the account management team in contract
nrenewals and expansion conversations.
n• Practice development: Contribute to building Netscribes& managed delivery playbooks,
nonboarding templates, and engagement operating models so that what works on one
naccount can be replicated at scale.
nRequired Qualifications
n• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering,
nor a related field.
n• 12–18 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 5 years in software development (any
nmainstream stack) and 4+ years in a delivery management,
programme management, or
nengagement management role.
n• Demonstrated ownership of multi-team software delivery programmes — managing 10 or
nmore engineers across concurrent workstreams with hard client deadlines.
n• Hands-on scrum master or agile lead experience; comfortable running sprint ceremonies
nand coaching teams on agile practices, not just overseeing them.
n• Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals — enough to validate technical
nestimates, challenge scope decisions, and have credible technical conversations with
nengineers and architects.
n• Solid understanding of end-to-end SDLC phases — requirements, design, development,
ntesting, deployment, and maintenance — and familiarity with AI-augmented development
nlifecycle (AIDLC) practices such as model development pipelines, data quality gates, and AI
ngovernance checkpoints relevant to client engagements.
n• Proven track record of managing senior client stakeholders — running steering committees,
npresenting to CxO audiences, and handling difficult conversations calmly and constructively.
n• Experience with project and delivery tooling — Jira, Confluence, or equivalents — and
ncomfort defining process when tooling is absent.
n• Demonstrable commercial awareness: understanding of T&M; and fixed-price contract
nmodels, change control processes, and margin-level hygiene.
n• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to produce crisp status reports, risk
nregisters, and slide decks without heavy editorial support.
