About the Role
We are looking for a
Technical Tender & UAV Engineer
to join our Government, Defence and UAV business team.
The role will work closely with the
Tender, System Engineering, Procurement and Business teams
and will be responsible for understanding technical tender requirements, assessing UAV/system feasibility, identifying suitable architectures and components, preparing preliminary BOMs and technical compliance documents, and ensuring timely completion of technical inputs for bids.
This role is ideal for an engineer with a good understanding of
UAV/drone systems
who wants to develop expertise in
Government and Defence tendering
. The candidate should be comfortable working with technical specifications, datasheets, BOMs and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Study and analyse Government, Defence, PSU, GeM and enterprise tenders, particularly UAV/drone and technology-related requirements.
- Read and interpret detailed technical specifications, ATS, eligibility criteria and compliance requirements.
- Break down tender specifications into transparent technical requirements and prepare requirement-wise compliance matrices.
- Assess whether IZI's existing technologies, components and system architectures can meet the tender requirements.
- Identify suitable UAV configurations, components, payloads and subsystem combinations for specific requirements.
- Prepare preliminary technical BOMs based on tender specifications and proposed system architecture.
- Review previous BOMs, technical documents, datasheets and tender submissions to identify relevant configurations and solutions.
- Identify technical gaps, deviations and requirements that require validation from the System Engineering/R&D; team.
- Coordinate with System Engineers for technical feasibility, architecture validation and technical clarifications.
