Role Description This is a full-time, in office VMC Programming role based in Bengaluru. The individual in this position will create and optimize programs for Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) using appropriate CAD/CAM software, ensuring efficient tool paths, cycle times, and material utilization. Daily responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings, selecting tools and machining parameters, setting up fixtures, and coordinating with machine operators to validate and refine programs.

The role involves monitoring part quality, troubleshooting machining issues, and maintaining process documentation and program libraries. The professional will collaborate closely with production, quality,



and design teams to meet delivery schedules, adhere to safety and quality standards, and support continuous improvement in machining processes.

Qualifications

- Strong VMC programming skills using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) and familiarity with G-code and CNC controls.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T;, and technical specifications for precision components.
- Hands-on experience with machining operations, tool and fixture selection, and setup for milled and turned components.
- Knowledge of quality inspection practices, including use of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM (preferred).
- Understanding of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems and adherence to safety and shop-floor best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and focus on accuracy and repeatability.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with operators, engineers, and production supervisors.
- Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline; prior experience in aerospace or automation components manufacturing is an advantage.
