Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Collection Manager role based in Pilibhit.
The Collection
Manager will oversee day-to-day collections operations, including managing field and tele-calling teams, monitoring overdue accounts, and ensuring timely recovery while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Responsibilities include setting and tracking collection targets, analyzing portfolio performance, implementing collection strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders, preparing regular MIS reports, resolving escalated customer issues,
and continuously improving collection processes and workflows.
The Collection
Manager will also support training and performance management of collection staff and contribute to risk mitigation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience in collections management, credit operations, or recovery in banking, NBFC, or fintech environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret portfolio data, track key performance indicators, and optimize collection strategies.
- Solid people-management skills, including team supervision, performance monitoring, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on respectful, solution-oriented customer interactions.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, compliance requirements, and best practices related to collections and consumer lending.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools, collection systems, and basic office productivity software (e.g., Excel, reporting tools).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience managing on-site collection teams in semi-urban or tier-2 locations is preferred.
- Ability to work from the Pilibhit location, adapt to agile operational demands, and meet deadlines under pressure.
