As Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient operation,

maintenance, safety, and compliance of the company's fleet

Fleet Manager Job Responsibilities

1. Fleet Operations & Maintenance
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance for all company vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Manage vehicle breakdowns, punctures, battery failures, and emergency repairs.
- Supervise drivers, prepare duty schedules, and ensure optimum vehicle utilization.
- Monitor fuel consumption, tyre planning, rotation, replacement, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with workshops, mechanics, and vendors for repairs and maintenance.

2. Vehicle Compliance
- Ensure timely renewal and validity of Fitness Certificates, Insurance, PUC, Permits, RTO documents, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain complete compliance records.

3. Daily Vehicle & Equipment Monitoring
- Check fuel, tyres, air pressure, oil, grease, and overall vehicle condition.
- Monitor servicing and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Inspect loaders, excavators,



and other heavy equipment to ensure proper maintenance.

4. Record Management
- Maintain records of vehicle servicing, fuel consumption, tyre utilization, oil and grease, repairs, spare parts, breakdowns, and preventive maintenance.

5. Fleet Technology
- Manage Fleetx, GPS devices, and vehicle cameras.
- Monitor vehicle movement and report irregularities immediately.

6. Driver Management
- Train and supervise drivers on protected driving, discipline, vehicle handling, and company policies.
- Identify unsafe driving practices and arrange retraining when required.
- Monitor driving behavior and ensure compliance with road safety regulations.
- Track driving licence expiry and ensure timely renewal.

7. Reporting & Cost Control
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fleet reports.
- Monitor maintenance expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Report major breakdowns, accidents, and operational issues to management immediately.
