About the Role:

We are looking for an Android Telephony Framework Engineer to join our team and contribute to Android smartphone projects. The role will focus on analyzing and resolving issues at the Telephony Framework layer, improving call and network reliability, and developing AI-driven automation capabilities to enhance R&D; and debugging efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze and resolve issues at the Android Telephony Framework layer across smartphone projects.
- Troubleshoot call flow, call state management, cellular data, SIM-related framework behavior, and network selection issues.
- Investigate complex framework issues using Logcat, bugreports, and other debugging tools.
- Analyze logs and system behavior to identify root causes and drive effective issue resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, end-to-end issue closure.
- Contribute to the development of AI-driven automated analysis tools for the Telephony Framework.
- Identify opportunities to improve development, debugging, and issue-analysis efficiency through automation.

Qualifications:





- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills:

- 2 years of experience in Android Telephony Framework development or debugging.
- Strong understanding of AOSP Telephony architecture and core modules, including
- Phone App
- TelecomManager
- TelephonyManager
- Robust debugging and troubleshooting skills at the Android Telephony Framework layer.
- Hands-on experience analyzing Logcat, bugreports, and system-level debugging information.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Android Framework/AOSP development.
- Understanding of cellular technologies, SIM/eSIM, network registration, and network selection.
- Experience with automation, scripting, or AI-based developer tools.
- Exposure to smartphone R&D; or OEM environments.
