Data Engineer (data integration and streaming platforms)

Data Engineer with robust experience in event-driven data integration and streaming platforms, ideally with hands-on expertise in Confluent Kafka and CDC technologies.

Experience:
Strong Data Engineering background, including data modelling, transformation, and integration
Experience working within cloud environments and tools
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data platforms
Ideally experience with Apache Kafka/Confluent Platform, inc support CDC (Change Data Capture) solutions, and managing Kafka topics, schemas, connectors, and stream processing pipelines
Valuable understanding of event-driven architecture and real-time data streaming patterns
Familiarity with Avro/JSON schema management and Schema Registry




Experience integrating data between legacy and contemporary platforms
Strong SQL/Python skills and experience working with relational databases
Understanding of data mapping, data quality, and common data models
Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to work across business and technical teams
