About the Opportunity micro1 is engaging Aerospace CAD Experts to contribute to a customer project focused on high-fidelity, multi-part aerospace assemblies. You will apply your expertise in aerospace, mechanical engineering, industrial design, and CAD to create precise technical questions and answers that help train next-generation AI systems.
The work emphasizes technical accuracy, design intent, assembly relationships, and standards-driven documentation. No prior AI experience is required—your engineering and CAD expertise is what matters.
Responsibilities
- Author objective, technically precise questions about complex multi-part aerospace assemblies.
- Develop questions that require exact technical answers rather than subjective interpretation or guesswork.
- Review native FreeCAD files to analyze complex mechanical assemblies and understand their design intent.
- Create multiple high-quality questions for each assembly covering important features, functions, components, and relationships.
- Provide clear, well-researched answers grounded directly in the available assembly data.
- Interpret technical drawings and evaluate relationships between individual parts within an assembly.
- Ensure questions and answers are comprehensive, relevant, objective, and program-agnostic.
- Collaborate through written and occasional verbal communication to clarify requirements and resolve technical questions.
- Contribute to documentation and feedback processes that improve future question sets and project workflows.
- Maintain high standards of technical precision, consistency, and quality throughout deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or industrial design.
- Strong foundation in CAD principles and mechanical design.
- Hands-on experience working with multi-part CAD assemblies.
- Ability to interpret complex design intent and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of component relationships and assembly structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to objective, technically accurate work.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with FreeCAD or comparable CAD platforms.
- Experience analyzing high-fidelity aerospace or mechanical assemblies.
- Experience authoring precise technical questions and answers.
- Background in technical education, engineering documentation, or technical content development.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards and standards-compliant documentation.
- Experience evaluating technical designs for accuracy and completeness.
- Interest in AI-powered engineering and intelligent design-support systems.
Compensation
- $40–$80 per hour

Eligibility
- Candidates should have relevant professional expertise in aerospace, mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a closely related field.
