Accounting Manager – E-commerce & Marketplace Reconciliation

Own our accounting function end to end books, statutory compliance, and marketplace reconciliation for a fast-growing D2C brand selling across our own website, marketplaces, and quick-commerce platforms. This is a hands-on accounting ownership role, not FP&A; or business partnering. You'll know exactly what every platform owes us and why.

What You'll Own

Marketplace & D2C Reconciliation

- Reconcile sales, settlements and payouts across Shopify, Amazon, Nykaa, Tata CLiQ, Myntra, and quick-commerce (Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart)
- Reconcile payment gateway and COD collections against orders and bank credits
- Map orders, returns, RTO/RTV to the books at order level
- Verify commission, logistics and marketing charges against agreed rates

Claims & Deduction Recovery

- Identify and recover short payments, excess commissions, incorrect deductions
- Raise and track claims for lost/damaged shipments, RTO/RTV mismatches, SPF on failed orders
- Claim seller incentives, coupon reimbursements, event payouts




- Maintain a live claims tracker; report monthly on amounts identified, claimed, recovered

Core Accounting & Compliance

- AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations; monthly and year-end closing to a fixed calendar
- GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, 2B reconciliation, annual returns, e-invoicing, e-way bills)
- TDS (deduction, challan deposit, quarterly returns, Form 16A)
- Income tax and statutory filings with consultants

Inventory, Revenue & Reporting

- Account for inventory across own warehouse and marketplace fulfilment
- Reconcile stock movement, returns, shrinkage against books
- Prepare financial statements, cash flow statements, and monthly MIS (channel-wise sales, collections, deductions, recoveries, ageing)

Audit & Controls

- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks during audits
- Work with ops/supply chain to resolve inventory and settlement discrepancies
- Maintain accounting SOPs, keep records audit-read

Requirements

- B.Com or equivalent; M.Com/MBA (Finance) preferred
- 3-5 years total experience, with at least 2 years in-house at a D2C, consumer brand, or e-commerce company (CA firm/agency/BPO experience alone will not be considered)
- Must have independently worked with platform settlement reports not just received summaries
- Working proficiency in Zoho Books or similar, plus advanced Excel
- Sound knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST and TDS

Good to Have

- Quick-commerce accounting exposure (Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart)
- Home, furniture or lifestyle category experience
- Export documentation and remittances
