Superfan.ng (SPNG) is an edtech learning platform focused on African languages and cultural knowledge. The product is a gamified, quiz-first app that explores African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. Designed for Africans and the global diaspora, Superfan.ng aims to make cultural learning engaging, interactive, and accessible. The platform blends education and entertainment to deepen users’ connection with African heritage and identity.

Role Description
The UI Designer will create intuitive, visually compelling interfaces for Superfan.ng’s web and mobile experiences. In this full time remote role, the designer will translate product requirements into wireframes and high-fidelity designs, build design systems, and iterate on user flows based on feedback and analytics. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product, engineering, and content teams, preparing mockups and interactive prototypes, and ensuring the app maintains a consistent, culturally resonant visual language.



The UI Designer will also contribute to improving usability, accessibility, and engagement across the platform.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in User Interface Design and Visual Design, with a portfolio demonstrating digital product work.
- Experience creating Mockups and interactive prototypes using modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Understanding of User Experience (UX) principles, including user flows, information architecture, and usability.
- Basic Front-End Development familiarity (e.g., HTML, CSS, responsive design) to collaborate effectively with engineers.
- Ability to design for mobile-first experiences and maintain consistent design systems and style guides.
- Comfort working remotely, managing time independently, and communicating clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Interest in African languages, cultures, or edtech products is highly desirable.
