A global pharmaceutical company building its India hub has partnered with Flexiple to hire a Patent Agent into its intellectual-property function. The work covers a molecule pipeline that moves from discovery notebooks to filed applications on a schedule the business tracks closely.

The filings you would run
- Draft and prosecute patent applications covering current compounds, formulations, and processes
- Conduct prior-art and freedom-to-operate searches ahead of filing decisions
- Respond to office actions from the Indian Patent Office and coordinate with foreign counsel on corresponding filings abroad
- Maintain the patent docket and track deadlines across the active portfolio

How the work is organised

You would work directly with R&D; scientists to capture inventions accurately before they are drafted, and with the IP counsel who takes the final filing calls. Pharma filings carry real commercial weight here - a missed deadline or a poorly drafted claim has downstream consequences the business feels, so the role expects rigor,



not just volume.

What we're looking for
- 3 to 8 years of patent drafting and prosecution experience, or a registered Indian Patent Agent qualification with relevant experience
- A science background - chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, or a related field - strong enough to read primary research
- Familiarity with Indian Patent Office procedures; exposure to PCT or foreign filings is a plus
- Clear technical writing and the patience for detailed claim drafting
