Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Delhi Beat Correspondent to cover government and administrative developments across Delhi. The candidate should have strong news sense, excellent source networks and the ability to deliver exclusive stories, breaking news, interviews and on-ground reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cover Delhi Government, Delhi Assembly, political parties and major government departments.
- Develop and maintain strong sources among politicians, ministers, bureaucrats, government officials and party functionaries.
- Break exclusive stories and provide breaking news updates quickly and accurately.
- Conduct interviews with key political leaders, ministers, officials and other important personalities.
- Generate original story ideas and follow up on developing news.
- Report from the field and provide live inputs, PTCs, bytes and video reports.
- Track political developments, government decisions, policy announcements and administrative issues.
- Coordinate with the newsroom and editorial team during breaking news situations.
- Attend press conferences, political events, government briefings and significant meetings.
- Ensure accuracy, credibility and timely delivery of news content.
