Irregular and Intermittent Employees (IIEs/Casual)
are employed at APS Level 2 and play an important role in supporting the operational and administrative functions of the Australian Border Force (ABF).
The role contributes to the ABF's mission of protecting Australia's border by undertaking tasks that support frontline operations. IIEs/Casual are required to work at international airports as well as other work areas such as Melbourne Gateway Facility (Post), Air Cargo, Container Examination Area (CEF) and Shipping Operations.
