About the role

Software Test Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans for Python, React.js, and Power BI applications. Works part‑time on a co‑located team, collaborating closely with development and data teams to ensure product quality.

Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated test scripts in Python for back‑end services.
Create UI test suites for React.js components using modern test frameworks.
Validate Power BI dashboards against business requirements and data integrity.
Analyze test results, report defects, and track resolution through the defect lifecycle.
Collaborate with developers to define testable requirements and review code changes.
Optimize test coverage and performance benchmarks for continuous integration pipelines.
Mentor junior testers on best practices and testing tools.

Required qualifications




5–10 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Python and React.js.
Proficiency in writing automated tests using PyTest, Selenium, or equivalent frameworks.
Hands‑on experience validating Power BI reports and data models.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience working in a co‑located, cross‑functional team setting.

Nice to have
Knowledge of TypeScript and contemporary React testing libraries (React Testing Library, Cypress).
Experience with data quality tools or ETL processes.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Certifications such as ISTQB or Microsoft Power BI certification.
