We are looking for a Team Lead – DC Operations to manage day-to-day delivery centre operations, ensure smooth shipment movement, and lead the operations team to achieve productivity, quality, and service-level targets.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily DC operations, including inbound, outbound, sorting, bagging, scanning, and shipment movement.
Lead and manage ground-level operations staff, ensuring adequate manpower and productivity.
Plan manpower deployment based on daily shipment volume and operational requirements.
Monitor SLA, productivity, attendance, quality, and operational KPIs.
Ensure timely processing and dispatch of shipments with minimum delays.
Coordinate with Last Mile, Line Haul, Pickup, Security, and other teams for smooth operations.
Monitor attendance, shift schedules, absenteeism, and manpower availability.
Handle operational escalations and ensure timely resolution.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and process guidelines.
Monitor shipment exceptions, damages, shortages, and misrouting and take corrective actions.
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of operational staff.
Manage vendor/contract manpower and ensure deployment as per requirement.
Prepare and share daily operational reports and MIS with management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline; logistics/supply chain qualification is an advantage.
2–5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, courier, e-commerce, or supply chain operations.
Experience in managing a team of ground-level operational employees.
Good knowledge of warehouse/DC operations and shipment handling processes.
Robust manpower planning and team-management skills.
Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable working in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and operational MIS.
Ability to work in a rapid-paced and target-driven environment.
