JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Purchase Manager

Location: Bhayandar, Mumbai

CTC: Up to 10LPA

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM

Industry: Rubber, Steel, Automotive, Petrochemical, Chemical & Related Manufacturing

Role & Responsibilities:
The Purchase Manager is responsible for sourcing, procurement, vendor management, cost control, and timely availability of all raw materials, consumables, spares, and services required for smooth operation of the factory.
Plan & execute procurement of raw materials and services.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts to ensure best value procurement.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers.
Maintain approved vendor list and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted production.
Work closely with Stores to monitor inventory and avoid overstocking or shortages.
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and Finance for material planning.
Ensure all procurement documentation is accurate and complete (PO, GRN,



contracts, etc.).
Oversee logistics, transportation, and timely delivery of materials.

Required Qualifications & Work Experience:
Education: Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or any relevant field. MBA (Supply Chain) preferred.
Experience: 8 years of purchase experience in a manufacturing (steel / rubber/chemicals) company.
