Bartender – Job Description

Position: Bartender
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Reports To: Bar Manager / Restaurant Manager

Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering excellent guest service. The role requires strong product knowledge, speed, accuracy, and a friendly, professional attitude to enhance the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wine, and beer as per standard recipes
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all beverages
Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
Manage bar stock, garnishes, glassware, and equipment
Follow cash handling and billing procedures accurately
Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines
Coordinate with service staff and kitchen for smooth operations
Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints courteously
Comply with hygiene, safety, and licensing regulations
Assist in bar setup, closing, and inventory counts

Robust knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar equipment
Excellent communication and guest interaction skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Attention to detail and speed of service

Good memory and multitasking ability

Qualifications
Bartending certification preferred
Prior experience as a bartender in a hotel, bar, or restaurant
Knowledge of local alcohol laws and safety standards

Working Conditions
Rotational shifts, late nights, weekends, and holidays
Standing for long periods and handling bar equipment

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
