Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and dynamic DP Makerspace Coach to join our IB Diploma Programme faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire innovation, design thinking, and hands-on learning by facilitating the effective use of the makerspace. The role focuses on enabling students to explore, prototype, and apply interdisciplinary knowledge through inquiry-based and experiential learning, aligned with the IB philosophy.

Job Type: Full time | On-site

Key Responsibilities
Plan and facilitate makerspace sessions aligned with IB DP philosophy and interdisciplinary learning goals.
Support students in developing projects for Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essay (EE), and CAS, where applicable.
Encourage creativity, innovation, and problem-solving through design thinking and project-based learning.
Train students and staff in the secure and effective use of makerspace tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, electronics kits, and prototyping tools.
Collaborate with subject teachers to integrate makerspace activities into the DP curriculum.
Foster a culture of experimentation, collaboration, and reflective learning.
Manage day-to-day makerspace operations, including inventory, maintenance, and safety protocols.




Organize workshops, exhibitions, and innovation challenges to showcase student work.
Assist students in documenting their design process and reflecting on their learning journey.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering, Design, Technology, or a related field.
Experience working in a makerspace, innovation lab, or STEM/STEAM environment.
Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme (DP) is preferred.
Proficiency in tools such as:
3D printing and laser cutting
Arduino
Raspberry Pi
Coding (Python, Scratch, or similar)
CAD software (Fusion 360, Tinkercad, etc.)

Skills and Competencies
Strong facilitation, mentoring, and communication skills.
Ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and inquiry-driven learning workplace.
Experience in integrating technology into learning processes.

Work Timings

Monday to Saturday | 7:40 AM - 3:45 PM
