Role & responsibilities
Plan and manage procurement of construction materials, tools, equipment and consumables as per project requirements.
Identify and develop reliable suppliers/vendors and maintain valuable vendor relationships.
Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers and Stores for material requirements.
Monitor material quality, quantity and specifications before acceptance.
Maintain proper records of purchase orders, quotations, invoices, delivery challans and vendor details.
Track material stock and site requirements to avoid shortage or excess purchasing.
Follow up with vendors for pending orders, delayed deliveries and replacements.
Ensure procurement is within the approved budget and company policies.
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, price, delivery and service.
Coordinate with Accounts team for invoice verification and payment processing.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E/Diploma/Degree in Civil or related field.

Experience: 5+ years in construction material procurement/purchase management.
